I'm a sucker for Chick Lit, so when I came across this book I decided to give it a try. Sometimes the characters in Chick Lit can be a bit too much, the plot a bit too contrived. I can happily say I quite enjoyed this book :-). There were times when I thought, "Okay, I get it - she thinks he's hot!" and just teensy moments here and there where you pretty much knew what was going to happen, but overall I was quite pleased. I enjoyed the characters and definitely had times when I was just going to read a couple of chapters, but found myself making up excuses as to why those other things on my To Do list could wait! I was so pleased when I got to the end and learned from the Author's Note that there were and would be other books involving characters from this book. How nice to know I can go and see more of a character's story but still have it be a stand alone experience. After I finish this review I plan to go order more Kindle books by Camilla Isley because I now know I like her style.

This book was an excellent choice to relieve the stress of life. The loss of loved ones drops a person to the depths of sorrow. This book enabled me to laugh out loud! I loved the story.
Funny and a good read, a little unrealistic at the end though, but enjoyable
I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good laugh! Plus it moves on! It kept me wanting to see what happens next. All the characters mentioned are interesting. I'll keep reading Camilla Isley's books, as long as she writes! Thank you Camilla!
A quick easy read with interesting humorous characters and love in the air. Read in practically one lazy afternoon and had a smiley face on start to finish.....
People may not have a list of the things they would never do in writing, but I think people can relate to things they once thought they would never do, then circumstances come along that change their idea on that. That is what happened to Blair when her professional and personal life circumstances change and she has to rethink everything. This was a fun read.
I really enjoyed the humor of this story. It was an endearing Blair who reversed expectations to find a better life. I recommend this book for all the romantics.
I really enjoyed this book. I’ll start by saying I didn’t read the first one in the series, but this book reads well as a stand-alone. Now that I know the premise of continuing stories, it makes sense that the author only briefly touches on Nikki’s (the best friend) love aches.

I’ve read my fair share of chick lit; I like to use rom-coms to balance the thriller, mystery, cop/lawyer books I read from authors like Connelly and Patterson. What was nice about the main character, Blair, is that she is squared away in a lot of ways. Other similar books I’ve read recently have had the main character as lovable, but awkward in some way (e.g. self conscious about their looks, prone to embarrassing situations, or things along those lines). I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop because I assumed the character was going to have some big disaster at some point. But the story wasn’t about that. Blair is more of a Kate Hudson in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. She’s confident and capable. But within that, she still embarks on a journey and evolves throughout.

I like the author’s writing style, and I plan to read the next book that focuses on Nikki. The book is light, refreshing, and worth reading. And even though it’s only a little over 200 pages, the characters’ are well developed and I was invested in their stories.
